The deputies of the Iranian Parliament issued a joint statement expressing support for the army military exercises in the north-western regions of the country.

According to the isna.ir website, the announcement states:

“Any geopolitical changes in the region and changes in the borders of neighboring countries is the red line of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we will not back down from any action by foreigners. At the same time, we will not tolerate the territory of any country serving the activities of the Zionist regime. Holding the “Conquerors of Khaybar” military exercise along the Araks river is a message of strength and peace and a warning to the Zionist regime.

Our relations with our neighboring countries, including brother country of the Republic of Azerbaijan, are long-standing and stable. The provocations of the enemies will not destroy that unity and brotherhood. Iran has repeatedly proved its brotherhood and good neighborliness towards neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan. Some divisive statements are against the principles of neighborliness and it is expected that Azerbaijan will fight against such statements and behavior as soon as possible.

“We, the deputies of the Iranian parliament, expressing support for the military exercises of our army, ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pass the warning of the deputies to the governments playing a role in the Caucasus.”
