Ararat Mirzoyan will leave for Moscow on 31 August

On 31 August, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Moscow, who will pay a working visit to Russia. The press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

It is reported that the meeting will focus on the development of the Armenian-Russian cooperation in all spheres, common integration unions such as the CIS, CSTO, EEU, enrichment of cooperation, as well as further steps towards the coordination of positions of the UN, OSCE and other international structures.

“The implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan on 9 November, 2020 and 11 January, 2021 will be discussed, including humanitarian issues and the issue of unblocking economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus. We hope that the talks in Moscow will contribute to the deepening of allied cooperation with Yerevan and the strengthening of stability and security in the region,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, during a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the blocking of the Goris-Kapan highway.
