Nikol Pashinyan announced the updated number of dead and missing

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presents the Government Program 2021-2026 in the National Assembly.

He mentioned what, in his opinion, was the cause of those extraordinary conditions, he presented new data regarding the victims of the war and the missing servicemen.

“The severe consequences of the 44-day war in 2020, the 3773 victims we had during the war, the fact that the whereabouts of 243 soldiers are unknown, the fact that some of our captured soldiers have not yet returned, the thousands displaced, the unusual, complex, social-economic situation in Armenia, the growing security challenges around Artsakh, the crisis in the Sotk-Khoznavar area due to the illegal incursion of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces into the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, periodic violations of the trilateral statement on the cessation of hostilities after November 9, followed by the fact of new victims, the tense international situation, the ongoing coronavirus epidemic make the environment in which we have to discuss the government’s program strange,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

The last time when Pashinyan provided information on the victims and missing was on 17 June, during a televised debate on Public TV.

He then mentioned, “At the moment, the number of victims during the war is 3705, 268 people are missing or their location is unknown, confirmed captives, at the moment, we have 60 people, we have a version that 110 people have been taken prisoner.”
