According to the press service of the department, the deputy behaved unethically, and his statement “does not correspond to the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership” between Russia and Azerbaijan.

In a release from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Zhirinovsky’s statements were called “irresponsible and provocative.”
