Today, the Program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia was approved by 74 for and 41 against votes, at the session of the National Assembly of the RA. The MPs of Heritage, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian National Congress and Prosperous Armenia factions voted against the Program.

Pursuant to article 74 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia: “The Government shall within twenty days of its formation present its program to the National Assembly.”

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted in his speech in the National Assembly that the Program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia was elaborated based on the main provisions of the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the pre-election programs of the RA President, the Republican Party of Armenia and “Orinats Yerkir” (Rule of Law) Party as well as on the assumption of harmonization of the ideas of the mentioned documents with the ideas of the Program.
