Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian and his German counterpart Heiko Maas. The ministers also discussed the situation around the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the implementation of trilateral statements on 9 November and 11 January.
The need to maintain the ceasefire and resolve the disputes through political-diplomatic means was stressed. The Ministers also reaffirmed the role of the OSCE Minsk Group in the negotiation process.
The Russian side stressed that any involvement of international organizations is possible only with the consent of Baku and Yerevan.
