Hasmik Petrosyan and Tigran Zakaryan, who died in the Artsakh war, have been married for 11 months. Hasmik says those were the best months in her life. Before leaving for the war, Tigran told his wife. “I will come and have Monte.”
Tigran Zakaryan has been a contract soldier in the peacekeeping troops since 2015.
“He had many goals, but we could not achieve any of them. I would have wanted my son to have at least one heir,” his father, Vahan Zakaryan says.
Her sister’s husband, Gevorg Mkrtchyan, says that Tigran was devoted to his friends, now everyone feels the need for him and no one believes that he is not with them any longer.
“Whenever we meet hew old have smiled. We were all happy that he got married, but the fate was arranged everything in a completely different way, not only for Tigran, but also for our people,” the neighbor, Larisa Atoyan says.
Tigran Zakaryan also took part in the April war and fought in Talish.
“The boys say that Tigran fought like an eagle on the battlefield, defending his positions. They fought against about 400-500 Turks for 2 hours, the bullets finished and they retreated. They did not have a map or a radio, they waited for a car to take them, but it did not come,” the father says.
Tigran Zakaryan was born on 11 November, 1988. He died in the battles for the defense of the homeland on the day of the first ceasefire, 10 October.
