Unless you see the first wounded and the victim, you cannot imagine what is happening: Hayk Khachatryan about the Artsakh war

“The service was going well, I did not complain, everything changes immediately after living here, it is unusual, but further it was going very well,” Hayk Khachatryan, a participant in the Artsakh war says.

He was a soldier for a year and two months when the war broke out. “I was in the position at that time. We were already somewhat ready because we were aware of their accumulations and we were waiting,” Hayk Khachatryan said.

“I wanted to sleep, they called from outside, and said that a plane was approaching. To be honest, I did not believe, he was a recruit, I thought it seemed to him, but in any case I went out and saw the plane ․․․ and we hit,” Hayk says.

According to him, unless you see the first wounded and victim, you cannot imagine what is happening.

Hayk Khachatryan was injured in Hadrut region. “When I was injured, I did not want to go down, I did not want to go away from the guys, I knew that every soul plays a big role, but I could not stay there physically. When I was here, I could not adapt, I was at war with my thoughts,” Hayk says.

In connection with the rear work during the war, he thanks and says: “There was a great need for it, because in the first days we retreated a little and did not take anything with us, because it was impossible, we could not, we did not have any supplies, food, anything and we needed that help a lot,” the participant of the war tells.
