Armenian citizens must register in a special app to travel to Russia

Before the beginning of the government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the launch of the “Travel without COVID-19” program. Citizens will have the opportunity to travel to the Russian Federation if they have a negative coronavirus test. The pilot testing of the program is currently underway until 1 March.

“Pre-test has passed, we think the program will work,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

The Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan mentioned that an application (Travel without COVID-19) has been created, through which the citizen can choose the laboratory where he wants to take a coronavirus test. The citizen must approach the laboratory, pass the test and get the results with a QR code. In the case of a negative test in the application, the window of free movement of the citizen turns green.

The test can be taken in one of the laboratories mentioned in the app.

“Citizen, by downloading the relevant application Travel without COVID on his phone – this app can be easily found and downloaded, the app lists the laboratories that operate in accordance with this procedure and are included in the program. The citizen has to go to the laboratory included in the app, pass the test and the test results are read in the QR code by the corresponding program and the negative result of the test in the app turns green the window of his free movement, and the citizen can cross the border. Citizens just need to be sure that the application works on their phone, that the test is completed within at least 72 hours, and having that positive green window, only then they can travel,” the minister said.
