Armen Martirosyan, Vice President of “Heritage” Political Party, who is at the same time in the top of the proportional list of “Barev Yerevan” Alliance, was invited to the Special Investigation department to provide evidences regarding the fact of his being beaten by the police on 9 April 2013

Today, during the interview to the journalists, Armen Martirosyan mentioned that he had no problems with providing testimony and was ready to participate in all the activities of the investigation service.

“I shall give evidence on the same day regarding the events in the morning as well as in the evening. I believe they are connected. I believe the actions of the police in the morning as well as in the evening were intentional. There were not any problems. I was really calm, but they came and used violence, including violence against my relatives: my mother and my 8-years old daughter. Their actions were disproportionate. And I believe they had targeted me in the evening. You can see in the video that the violence was going on even when I was not doing anything, Armen Martirosyan said.”

Just at this moment the activists are conducting a protest action in front of the Special Investigation Department demanding to punish the policemen who allowed violence.
