Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan’s lawyer Armen Melkonyan told Iravaban.net that Arushanyan is now in the Investigative Committee.

“I have just met him,” Melkonyan said.

We will announce the details about Arushanyan’s status and etc.

Note that Goris deputy mayor Irina Yolyan today, on 21 December, said in an interview with us that the police summoned Arushan Arushanyan a few hours before, after he announced that Local residents blocked and will not allow Nikol Pashinyan’s entrance to the region.

She later wrote:

“Arushanyan’s lawyers submitted a report to the police on the occasion of the arrest of the head of Goris community. At this moment, it is not ruled out that  Arush Arushanyan’s life is in danger. Let me remind you that the head of the community has been arrested since early in the morning, but so far no information has been received. The ombudsman was also informed about this. I should mention that the road from Sirsian to Goris is still closed, there are community leaders and many citizens in Goris. ”
