According to Mane Arakelyan, pilot Tsolak Khachatryan’s wife, he had dreamed of becoming a pilot since childhood. The father of two was looking forward to the dawn to go to work.
“He said that if I had a son, my son would be a soldier like me. He used to say, ‘he is a good guy and he will serve,'” the woman said.
Tsolak’s brother, Davit, remembers that he called his brother on 27 September to find out what was going on․ “When we talked to him, he said, ‘I’m going, to bring the wounded, everything is fine. He was not afraid.”
“Friends say they are sitting and waiting for a task, he said there is a fight, how can we sit here calmly. He knew where he was going, as if he was saying goodbye. Whatever he did in the last one year, he did it as if were the last time,” the woman says.
