The process of exchanging prisoners of war between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides continues. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing today, December 16.

“The process of exchanging prisoners continues,” he said.
She added that all statements on Nagorno-Karabakh made by both the parties to the conflict and regional and non-regional players should be aimed at long-term peace in the region and a full settlement of the conflict.
According to her, each statement must be weighed precisely in terms of what benefits or harms it can bring. The spokeswoman reminded that the most difficult work has been done for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
She stressed that Moscow is conducting a dialogue with both Baku and Yerevan in all existing ways. “Therefore, it seems to me that all issues arising between the parties should be resolved in this way, based on what I said at the beginning, the ways that exist for that,” Zakharova concluded.
