Konstantin Zatulin, a member of the Russian State Duma and director of the Institute of CIS Countries, called the remarks made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku against Armenia offensive to the Russian Federation as well.

Zatulin said this during the Yerevan-Moscow online discussion on 11 December.

“Russia and Armenia are allies, therefore, what was said during the parade, in particular the references and comparisons of the President of Azerbaijan with the Great Patriotic War and the Karabakh war, the comparisons of the struggle against fascism and the action in Karabakh, are sacrilege, lies and deserve all types of condemnation,” Zatulin said.

During the military parade in Baku, Aliyev called Yerevan, Sevan and Zangezur “Azerbaijani territories” and Erdogan said that this was “the day of enlightenment for Enver Pasha, Nuri Pasha, the soldiers of the Caucasus Islamic Army.”
