The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia informs that one person was arrested for illegally crossing the protected state border of the Republic of Armenia, a criminal case was initiated.
“Armenpress” applied to the NSS to clarify the information that an Azerbaijani appeared in the border community of Berdavan, Tavush region, on the night of 9 to 10 December, and the NSS officers apprehend him.
The NSS reported the following. “Illegally crossed the protected state border of the Republic of Armenia. Operative information was received on the incident, as a result of search operations, that person was found, a criminal case was initiated, he has the status of a suspect, and he has been arrested.”
The NSS cannot provide any other details due to the pre-investigation secrecy.
