The French authorities have approved and are launching a program to provide extensive assistance to Armenians affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The official representative of the French Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday, TASS reports .
“On the instructions of French President Emmanuel Macron and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, France is launching structural efforts to provide assistance to the Armenian population affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Within the framework of this assistance system, state structures, solidarity associations with Armenia, and humanitarian associations that are part of Coordination Sud will be mobilized,” the French diplomatic mission said. Assistance will be provided in three areas.
It is noted that “after the initial urgent aid provided in recent weeks and consisting of sending groups of surgeons and medical-surgical equipment to Armenia, a number of flights will now be organized.” The first of such aircraft, leased by the French Foreign Ministry, has already arrived in Yerevan.”
The flight of the second plane is scheduled on 27 November.
