Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke live about the fall of Shushi and the rumors about it.
“If we are talking about a conspiracy or its reasons, let us record such a fact: Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), when he was released from prison, announced that he would form a volunteer detachment, that he would personally lead that detachment, and then we saw a report, a headline that Tsarukyan met with volunteers, etc… But it still seems that we did not see a volunteer detachment, especially during the fighting near Shushi led by Gagik Tsarukyan. Maybe this is the reason why Shushi fell, because that detachment, that group, which was fighting near Shushi, and a group had penetrated into Shushi, maybe, if there were enough reserves, it would be possible to keep Shushi. I would not be wrong to say that one of the key reasons for the fall of Shushi was the absence of the volunteer detachment promised by Gagik Tsarukyan in the battle of Shushi. Maybe this is a little symbolic. But in reality it is not symbolic either,” Nikol Pashinyan said. He mentioned that maybe those “Nivas”, and “Vilis” cars, and detachments were formed not to operate in Shushi, but in Armenia. “If that is the case, that fact must be checked and given a criminal assessment, which will definitely happen.”
