From 10September, birthday and wedding celebrations, and funeral ceremoniess will be banned in Georgia, Natia Mezvrishvili, Chief of Staff of the Government said.

According to Mezvrishvili, the ban applies to both indoor and outdoor events.
“Due to the epidemiological situation, it has been decided to ban public events such as birthdays, weddings, funerals and other rituals from tomorrow. Notably, this restriction was already in force in closed areas, and from tomorrow the ban will apply to open areas as well,” Mezvrishvili said.
