The press conference of the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan is being held at the Government Press Center. He mentioned that yesterday, on 20 May, we had 335 new cases, 162 treated citizens, 3 deaths. There are 5,606 confirmed cases, of which 2,581 were recovered and 70 were fatal. At the moment, 2928 patients are actually receiving treatment for coronavirus disease. A total of 45,822 tests were performed.

“The number of active citizens has increased by 170 in one day, compared to yesterday, when we had a decrease of 30, as more people were discharged than were admitted,” the minister said.

According to him, 135 patients are in serious condition, 63 are in extremely serious condition, 15 citizens are connected to artificial lung ventilation devices. “Along with the growth of numbers, the number of citizens in difficult and extremely difficult conditions is growing, and this is the circumstance from which we have always tried to talk or remove that day,” Arsen Torosyan said.

The Minister also added that asymptomatic patients will be sent home from tomorrow, who will be isolated at home.
