The issue of having an independent, reliable and judicial system has not been resolved in Armenia. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this today, on 6 May, from the tribune of the National Assembly.

“We do not want a judicial system controlled by the government or the revolution or even the people, but we really want an independent judiciary in Armenia. If we wanted a controllable judicial system, a new puppet judicial system instead of the old puppet court system, we would have solved it long ago, and 1-2 calls or even the absence of a call would be enough for that,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that there are failures in the fight against corruption. He said that the biggest failure of 2019 was the return of illegally stolen money from the people of Armenia.

“In our judicial and law enforcement system, there are devotees of the corruption system, there are traitors, and this is a serious problem for us. There are illiterates in our judicial system who are pure in spirit and mind…” the Prime Minister said.
