The new coronavirus has been classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
This is reported by BBC.
WHO chief Dr Tedros Adhanom Gebries said the number of cases outside China has increased 13-fold over the past two weeks.
He added that he was “deeply concerned” about the “alarming level of inaction” against the virus.
The pandemic is a disease that is common in many countries around the world. However, Dr. Tedros said it is not too late for governments to have an impact.
“All countries can change the course of this pandemic,” he said.
Governments have to “strike a balance between maintaining health, minimizing disaster and respecting human life.” “We are united in doing the right thing and protecting the citizens of the world. It can be done,” he said.
Notably, 4 cases of coronavirus infection have already been registered in Armenia.
