Garo Paylan was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

Members of the International Union of Hamshen Women in Hamshen submitted an application to the Nobel Committee, proposing to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Armenian MP Garo Paylan.

The organization has described Paylan as a person who has dedicated his life to protecting the violated rights of both the Armenian and other indigenous peoples of the Middle East.

“He strongly condemns Turkey’s aggressive policy, military intervention in neighboring sovereign states, particularly large-scale military operations in Iraq and Syria. Today, he is one of the few individuals who has taken responsibility for protecting the region’s human values, ​​as well as religious and ethnic minorities,” Saida Ohanyan, the organization’s president said.

Notably, Garo Paylan was nominated for the Nobel Prize is 2019 as well.
