Etienne Mahçupyan has taken a Leading Position in the Davutoğlu -led Party

The names of people coordinating various spheres in the Gelecek Partisi, or “Future” Party founded by former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu  have been announced recently, Ermenihaber reports.

A list published by the Turkish ABC news site revealed that Istanbul-based journalist Etienne Mahçupyan, co-founder and a member of the party’s executive board, was entrusted with leading the research, development and information spheres.

The meeting of the founding board of the “Gelecek” Party was held on December 19.

Notably, Etienne Mahçupyan was appointed Prime Minister’s Chief Adviser during Ahmet Davutoğlu ‘s tenure. However, in April 2015, Mahçupyan was relieved of his post. Mahçupyan said he was relieved because of the “age” limitation.

However, many Turkish media commented on what happened to Mahçupyan that his resignation was due to openly speaking about the Armenian Genocide.
