Nikol Pashinyan’s Decree annulled Robert Kocharyan’s Decree

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree on 19 December that reads:

“Based on Article 37 and Article 46, Part 1 of the RA Law on Normative legal acts,

  1. Repeal the NH -896 decree of 20 July, 2001 of the President of the Republic of Armenia on “Creating Information Technology Support Council” .

Notably the decree stipulated:

  • Create an information technology support council and approve its staff and the list of representatives of information technology organizations.
  • Determine that fifteen members of the list of representatives of information technology organizations are included in the Council by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
  • Eleven out of fifteen members of the list of representatives of information technology organizations included in the Council shall be rotated once a year by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
  • To the RA Government: approve the statute of the IT Development Support Council within one month.
