The two primary objectives of the education sector are: depoliticization of the system and fight against corruption.

Mr. Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Education and Science stated this at the meeting with the partner international educational institutions.

“In recent years a vicious tradition emerged in schools and universities when management representing different parties have been guided by their political interests, which have caused an unhealthy environment. As for the fight against corruption: Over the years, various organizations provided large loans and grants to combat corruption. And although there were no noticeable results in this regard, some of our international partners continued to provide such means, which was amazing. I want to emphasize that we will not take any grant from any international organization to fight corruption because we believe that first of all we need political will to eliminate corruption, and the new government has the will,” the Minister emphasized.
