“We speak here as a family and I hope very much that this discussion will promote the good implementation of the Agreement.” Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Piotr Świtalski said today at the national Assembly during the hearing on the theme “Armenia – EU Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership”
“Signing the agreement is being a very important step, being a landmark event, is only the beginning of the road. We can feel the impact almost immediately. The items included in the agreement will be implemented quite soon,” he said and added that discussions on ratification of the agreement are expected in the EU member states soon.
“We believe that this agreement is not only good for Armenia, and European Union member states, but it’s good for the region and its good for the entire neighborhood. And there is nothing in the agreement, which may be perceived as being directed against anyone. This is agreement for the common benefit. I believe this agreement will be a good example, I would say even a model for other partners of the European Union.” Piotr Świtalski said.
The Ambassador also noted that he is glad that Armenia has become an advocate of cooperation in such format. Armenia and the EU must exert every effort to bring the agreement to life as soon as possible.
