The State Revenue Committee is “cleaning” the Taxpayers’ Database

The taxpayers’ list is being “proofread”: the State Revenue Committee has prepared the preliminary list of taxpayers subject to liquidation. The list includes the companies and individual entrepreneurs which in the period of 2013 till 1 January, 2017 have not submitted any report to the tax authority; don’t possess property according to the information available in the tax authority; have no obligations on revenues controlled by the tax authority or have not been re-registered. We learn this from the Information and Public Relations Department of the RA State Revenue Committee.

“The objective is to liquidate in the simplified procedure without unnecessary administration the non-functioning organizations that fail to submit report, thus clarifying the scope of actually active taxpayers and creating opportunity to save state resources,” Mr. Karen Tamazyan, Head of the Inspection Department of the Organization and Control department of SRC said. Taxpayers will not be disturbed during the whole process of liquidation. They will be exempted from the long process of usual clarifications and paperwork. “The SRC has undertaken the whole workload and shall cooperate with the state agencies to clarifying the existence of property or creditors,” Karen Tamazyan said and stressed one more privilege, which cancels the overall tax obligations up to 10.000 AMD in terms of revenue of organizations or businessmen as of 1 January.

Led by the “RA Law on dissolving the organizations and removal from the state register the businessmen who failed to present tax reports” the tax authority has already published on the official website www.taxservice.am the list of taxpayers who meet the standards provided by the law. The preliminary list includes about 50000 taxpayers. Those who do not want to be dissolved or removed from the state register can notify the relevant tax authority in the written form. “The Committee has already sent inquiries to the competent authorities to check the availability of property of the taxpayers included in the preliminary list. The “filtered” list will be provided to the State Register Agency of Legal Entities of the Republic Of Armenia at the Ministry of Justice of the RA by 1 July and shall publish the list on www.e-register.am and public notifications www.azdarar.am, as well as in other websites,” Karen Tamazyan said and added that the taxpayers can submit a request to waive the dissolution until November 1.
