Colonel Norayr Aslanyan, Deputy Chief-Commander of Artillery of N Military Unite of the Defense Army was awarded the second-class Order of the Combat Cross.
On 2-5 April 2016 he skillfully managed the division’s artillery fire protection zone directly in front of the division. As a result the enemy’s attacking rocket artillery and mortar, as well as infantry and tank units were shot in the progression routs, expansion frontiers, concentration locations, starting positions, including the command points and command observation points.
As a result of such clever strategy the artillery commander disrupted the enemy’s artillery chief control system, achieved the advantage in firing and broke the attack of the enemy’s exceeding forces.
