Today, the Government of Armenia approved the Draft Package of on making changes and amendments in the RA Laws “On Probation”, “On the State Probation Service” and related laws. The Government recognized the importance of the bills and passed it to the National Assembly.
The Minister of Justice, Arpine Hovanisyan presented the bills. Another discussion was had without tense debate.
Remember that last year the same bills were introduced to the government and passed after tense debates.
Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan and the Ex-head of the National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan against the concept arguing that probation cannot work.
