Soghomon Kocharyan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of the murder of the Iranian national of Azerbaijanian origin, and who was released on 22 October 2015 on the decision of the court, died today in the cardiology department of “St. Grigor Lusavorich” Medical Center. To remind: On 22 October 2015, the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan City had ruled a decision to release from further punishment the Freedom Fighter Soghomon Kocharyan sentenced to life imprisonment on the grounds of his health condition.
