September 21 is the Day of Our National Dignity

25 years ago, on September 21, upon the decision of the Parliament, a referendum on secession from the USSR and declaration of independence was held, and Armenia was declared an independent state. 94.99 percent of the citizens of the republic voted “yes” to Independence.

On 23 September 1991, the Supreme Council declared Armenia an independent, sovereign state.

September 21 is the Day of Our National Dignity.

The sacrament of the day first of all is directed to the authorities of the country: to ensure dignified and secure life of citizens in the powerful motherland, which provides legal and rule of law state. This implies that our army should become the most efficient in the region, our economy the most the most competable, our citizens the most law abiding and our authorities the most honest and incorruptible.
