“We went from one house to the other house and cried. They came and that we are deported,” Valentina Andreasyan, who was forcibly displaced from the occupied Republic of Artsakh said in the framework of the “Legal Problems of Artsakh Armenians in Armenia” series of Iravaban.net.
“Why are we deported? The answer was yes you are. The population of the entire Martakert region was leaving by cars. I do not have a husband; I do not have a son, whose door should I go to? I went and stood near the school, I saw soldiers coming with their mothers and relatives. An acquaintance saw us and we came with them to Stepanakert. My daughter called and told me to go to the airport, the people are full there, and how should I go?” she tells.
The woman describes how difficult it was to travel and reach Armenia on 23 September. She was sick.
Ms. Valentina used to work on a daily wage, but due to illnesses, she is no longer able to work.
They live in a relative’s house in Armenia on rent.
