People exercise their constitutional right in the Liberty Square. This is already the third day that the sit-in strike is going on. Lawyer Ara Karagyozyan is one of the participants of the strike. He has come here with the Constitution in his hand. “Constitution is our weapon, we struggle here in compliance with Constitution, applying te laws on peaceful assemblies and the international treaties,” he said.
Ara said that there were clashes during the three days; the police is ensuring the security of the action.
Albert Vanikyan has spent the last three days in the square as well: “Our peoplr helps us . Peoplr directly bring food and give money.”
Davit Mkrtchyan is 20. This is already two years that he participates in such actions: “We are fighting to stop illegalities in the country.”
Representatives of the older generation have joined the youth: “If the price is raised, not only electricity price, but the prices of everything will rise. We shall not be able to maintain our living,” Ashot Petrosyan said.
