Members of the legal club “Legal progress” which caused so much noise in the recent days introduced the aims and charter of the club to the journalists and representatives of the legal sphere. Let us remind that there were some opinions that the club was established by the advocates displeased with the activities of the Chamber of Advocates, thus trying to disunite the community of advocates.
“The opinion that someone tried to disunite the advocates is nonsense. Most of those who are present here have done everything for uniting the advocates. No one has an objective, even a will to separate from the Chamber. We will work together with the chamber.”- Gurgen Grigoryan the Club Board Member said.
Another Board Member of the Club, advocate Karen Kamalyan mentioned that in fact the club has been operating for already 15 years. The main objective of the club is unification of the advocates and organization of joint discussions, during which the members may introduce cases under their proceedings, receive advice referring the selection of defense tactics, and building the strategy.
K. Kamalyan brought an example of unity of the investigative and prosecutorial bodies, when one supports the counterpart to succeed in the case.
Ha also told that due to the efforts of the club members they have achieved acquittal verdicts, acceptation of legislative initiatives etc.
