Today, the ceremony of signing of the Memorandum of Understanding took place in the RA Chamber of Advocates. Ara Zohrabyan and Artashes Javadyan, Director of the National Bureau of Expertise SNCO of the RA NAS signed the Memorandum.
The Memorandum will enable the advocates to apply to the Bureau through out of court procedure and receive the results of corresponding opinions and research. In the interview to the correspondents Ara Zohrabyan mentioned that very often in order to reveal the truth and provide adequate legal aid to the client, there is a need to apply the appropriate expertise centers. And the Memorandum will provide opportunity to apply to the Bureau of Expertise and receive the necessary conclusions. According to Ara Zohrabyan this is an additional tool for the advocates to balance with the prosecution side.
Artashes Javadyan noted the importance of such cooperation, which would be introduced in the system through the Memorandum. He emphasized that the Memorandum was primarily important for the defense party. He also said that his agency was cooperating with the Chamber of Advocates during the recent days and were introducing the international standards system, which was an important guaranty for any expertise.
