The criminal proceeding on the case of Armen Sargsyan the former policeman of the staff of detention department of Yerevan Police has restarted in the Special Investigation Service of the RA. The criminal case initiated under the provisions of point 2 of Paragraph 2 of Article 178 of the RA Criminal Code had been suspended.
The Special Investigation service reminds that on 28 March 2013, the policeman Armen Sargsyan by fraud and abuse of trust had stolen USD 2000 from S.
On 25 April 2014, the wanted under the case Armen Sargsyan was found and arrest as a measure of restrained was applied upon him.
The prejudicial inquiry is in process.
Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
