The National Polytechnic University of Armenia was recognized and included in the ranking of the world’s most sustainable universities in the 2023 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings: Gor Vardanyan, rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, informed Iravaban.net about this.
“Participating in this ranking for the first year, our university ranked 938th in the list of 1,200 ranked universities from 84 countries, and 2nd in the list of ranked universities from Armenia.
With individual rating weights at the national level, we are the absolute leader in the following categories:
- Infrastructure and conditions
- Energy and climate change
This result proves that sustainable development is one of the strategic priorities of our university.
We pay special attention to increasing the use of green and renewable energy sources in order to increase the self-sufficiency of the needs of our educational institution. We are reforming our infrastructure and environment day by day based on sustainable, green and inclusive principles,” he said.
