How can I let a Little Child play in the Yard if there is an Azerbaijani in that Area? Forcibly Displaced

Armen Yeghyan was in Ivanyan on 19 September, it was his child’s birthday. He told in in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023. Stories of Survivors”  documentary project of Iravaban.net, that they were forcibly displaced for the second time, the first time was during the 2020 war. At first, they were displaced from Martakert region and moved to Ivanyan.

“During the last attack, we gathered at home to celebrate the child’s birthday. After 2 hours, we moved from Ivanyan to Stepanakert, went to the basements of the building. Before coming to Armenia, everyone had an oven in front of their building, they were making bread. There was no gas or electricity. They backed bread outside, brought it home and ate it. They did as they were able,” Armen says.

They met Azerbaijanis on Hakari bridge. They checked the car and left it to leave. After arriving in Goris, after registering, they went to Khnatzakh. They lived there for 1 month, and then moved to Armavir, Mrgashat village.

“If the Azerbaijanis return to their previous positions, they will return to Stepanakert, just if the Azeries stay away from the city. As of today, they are already in the city. How can I let a child play in the yard if there is an Azerbaijani in that area? On the day I left, they entered the city by cars,” Armen said.
