On 14 August, at 00:27, the Crisis Management Center of the Shirak Regional Rescue Department received an alert that an accident occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, near the village of Lanjik.
The Rescue Service reported.
The operative group of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the fire-rescue squad left to the scene.
It was found that on the 90th km of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, a “Volkswagen” brand passenger minibus and a “ZIL” brand truck collided (driver: H. P., born in 1990).
According to the information received from Gyumri Medical Center, the injured M. G. (born in 1996), L. G. (born in 1989), H. P. (born in 1990), P. A. (born in 1985), E. K. (born in 2000) and E. S. (born in 1984) were hospitalized in Gyumri Medical Center. Then E. S. (born in 1984) was transferred to “Erebuni” Medical Center in Yerevan.
11 citizens died as a result of the accident.
