The New Date of the Tripartite Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan is being discussed: Lavrov

Moscow expects that the Co-Chairs of the Tripartite Working Group on unblocking regional communications will soon reach concrete agreements. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov stated at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan.

“Russia is also in favor of intensifying the work of the border demarcation commission with Moscow’s advisory support. Moscow is also ready to support the conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov emphasized the need for restoration of the negotiation process as soon as possible.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, the Armenian side confirmed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s words about the readiness of the Armenian side for a new meeting, the new date of the tripartite meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan is being discussed.

“In the near future, we will choose suitable dates for all three ministers,” Lavrov concluded.
