The RA Council of Courts Chairmen, by its decision of 14 August awarded Samvel Asatryan, Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Gegharkunik marz.
The decision reads, “Considering Judge Samvel Asatryan’s long years work in the judicial system of the RA, as well as his great contribution in realization of justice and on the occasion of his 65th birth anniversary, the RA Council of Courts Chairmen decided to award Samvel Asatryan, Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Gegharkunik marz, with the diploma of the RA Council of Courts Chairmen and a souvenir clock.”
A judge may hold office until the age of 65. The authority of the judge is stopped on the next day of the retirement age. It is anticipated that the RA Council of Courts Chairmen will apply to President Serzh Sargsyan with request of termination Judge Asatryan’s authorities.
