The Russian peacekeeping troops fulfill their mission, as it should: Putin to Aliyev

The trilateral meeting in Sochi aims to ensure the implementation of all agreements in 2020 and 2021. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

“The meeting is important. The purpose of this meeting, as I see it, is to ensure the implementation of all our agreements reached in 2020 and 2021. You have repeatedly stated that Russia played a significant, important role in the settlement of the conflict, and now our peacekeeping troops are fulfilling their mission, as they should, and I thank you for these assessments,” Putin said.

However, according to the President of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to talk about the current situation, to look for ways to resolve issues that have not yet been resolved.

“In this regard, I would like to mention an important component of an economic nature. We have created a tripartite working group headed by the deputy prime ministers of the three countries. They have gone far enough in terms of solving the issues we talked about two years ago. Apparently, an additional impulse should be given here. I know that the Azerbaijani side is working quite actively in that direction. The range of issues is quite large,” Putin said.
