Search and rescue operations are continuing in the area of ”Surmalu” Shopping Center. 57 fire-rescuers, 10 fire-fighters and 1 rescue equipment, 2 ladder trucks, operative teams of the National Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Department of the Yerevan City Rescue Department, Medical Support Department, Fire Fighting and Rescue Operations Department, the psychologist on duty of the Psychological Support Department and the vehicle of the Gas and Smoke Protection Service, the Urban Search and Rescue Teams of Shirak and Tavush, 15 volunteers from the “VOMA” Military-Patriotic non-governmental organization and 7 volunteers from the “Red Cross” humanitarian organization.
MES press spokesman Hayk Kostanyan reported.
“As a result of the search, 15 citizens were found, and another 15 are currently missing.
The work of fire-rescuers is mainly complicated by the smoke and debris of the collapsed building in the area, which are removed from the area using special equipment and by their own efforts.
The bodies of 6 citizens were found.

The number of persons taken to medical centers is currently 61.
13 victims continue to receive treatment in different centers. Experts assess their health condition as moderate.
The other hospitalized patients received the necessary medical care and were discharged.
