Gayane Grigoryan was appointed public prosecutor in the case of the driver of Armenian nationality.
It is just on the prosecutor’s motion, that Harutyunyan was subjected to two months of arrest, while under the accusation filed, detention as a preventive measure was not mandatory.
The investigator and the public prosecutor had recommended the two months detention because the accused might escape if left free, or had some influence upon the participants of the case.
In addition they had mentioned that Harutyunyan, as the RA national did not have a permanent living address in the RF.
The Armenian driver shall stay arrested till 14 September, upon which it is foreseen to finish the investigation activities as well as the preliminary investigation if possible.
Earlier, on July 13, in “New Moscow” near Podolsk village the truck “KAMAZ” driven by Harutyunyan drove out from the subsidiary road and collided into the bus “LIAZ”, which collapsed into two parts. The crash caused 18 human losses and over 60 were wounded.
