The Constitutional Court postponed the trial of the case on the Law on Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin

On 3 May, the Constitutional Court made a procedural decision on extending the term of consideration of the case on Determining the Issue of Compliance with the Constitution of the “Law on Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin”.

The decision says:

Based on the need to study additional materials, based on Article 68, Part 8 of the Constitutional Law on the Constitutional Court, on the basis of the application of at least one-fifth of the total number of deputies of the RA National Assembly, on consideration of the case on Determining the Issue of Compliance with the Constitution of the “Law on Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin”, the Court decided to postpone the trial of the case and to appoint the trial on 10 June, 2022 at 11:00. “

Iravaban.net reminds that the case was examined by the 25 February decision of the Constitutional Court. Judge of the Constitutional Court Vahe Grigoryan has been appointed rapporteur on the case. It was decided to conduct the trial of the case by written procedure. The body that adopted the mentioned law, the RA National Assembly, has been involved in the trial as a respondent.
