Former Minister of Nature Protection Karine Danielyan has passed away. Her daughter wrote about this on her Facebook page. “Mom, Karine Danielyan, left us today,” she wrote.

Here is Karine Danielyan’s biography.

In 1970 graduated from the Department of Biophysics of the Faculty of Biology of Yerevan State University.

In 1971-1974 studied at the postgraduate course of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR.

In 1994-1996 studied at YSU doctoral program.

1976-1980 – Junior researcher at the Institute of Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR.

1980-1985 – Scientific Secretary of the Scientific Council of Biosphere Issues of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR.

1985-1990 – Head of the Department of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information under the Council of Ministers of the Armenian SSR.

1990-1991 – Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Yerevan City Council for Environment and Health.

1991-1994 – Minister of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 1996 – YSU Associate Professor.

From 1996 to present – President of the “Association for Sustainable Human Development” NGO

From 2009 to present – Member of the RA Public Council.

From 2009 to present – Member of the Commission on Lake Sevan Issues under the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 2010 – YSU Professor.

On 14 April, 2016, by the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, she was reappointed a member of the Public Council of the Republic of Armenia.

She is the author of about 270 scientific articles and monographs.
