Comprehensive talks on peace and security in Ukraine are the only way for Russia to reduce the damage of its own mistakes.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message.

“The time for the meeting has come. It’s time to talk. It is time to restore the territorial integrity and justice of Ukraine. Otherwise, Russia’s losses will be such that several generations will not be enough to recover,” he said.

He stated that it was time to end the war started by Russia against Ukraine.

“The war must end. Ukraine’s proposals are on the table. In the coming days, I will continue to appeal to the peoples of the world for peace in Ukraine. In the near future, my call will be to the Swiss, to the people and to the state.

Appeals are also planned to Israel, Italy and Japan. The world is listening to Ukraine’s position. The world supports our defenders, the defenders of Ukraine,” he said.

It should be reminded that early in the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.

The United States and the European Union have described Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
