The ruble in international trading collapsed to a historic low

The ruble in international trading collapsed to a historic low, losing more than 30% of its value against the dollar and the euro, Russian Forbes reports.

At its peak, the dollar exchange rate on Monday morning, 28 February, exceeded 117 rubles, the euro exchange rate – 132 rubles.

This is a historical maximum.

The euro in rubles grew by almost 35%, the dollar – by almost 33%. The European currency has risen in price by more than 33 rubles since the close of last trading, the American one – by more than 30 rubles.

It should be noted that today in Armenian banks 1 ruble is bought at the price of 2,50 – 3 drams, the average exchange rate fluctuates in the range of  3,30 drams. In the Central Bank of Armenia 1 ruble is estimated at 5,78 drams.
