Russian tanks are moving towards Mariupol, a battle is taking place 15 km away from the city. Mayor Vadim Boychenko announced at an emergency briefing, ” Ukraine 24 ” reports.

According to Boychenko, the battle between the Ukrainian military and the “occupant” takes place 15 kilometers from the city.

“Russian tanks are moving towards Mariupol. If the military signals danger, signals will sound in the city, which will mean the need to go to shelters,” the Mayor said.

According to him, a rather serious destruction of the housing stock was registered in Mariupol due to the shelling.

“After yesterday’s shelling, the housing stock also suffered. We already clearly understand how much shelling there was, how much the housing stock was damaged in different streets, unfortunately, we have quite serious damages,” he said.

It should be reminded that a curfew was imposed in Mariupol on 24 February from 22:00 to 6:00.

Fighting is reported in the Pavlopol region (20 km from the city). The transport is working normally, free of charge.
