The Draft Law on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Law on Flag of the Republic of Armenia and on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offences authored by the deputy of the Armenia Faction Aghvan Vardanyan were unanimously adopted in the National Assembly.
84 deputies of the National Assembly voted “for”, after which they applauded.
The Chairman of the sitting Ruben Rubinyan also responded, “Yes, why not?” and joined the applause.
It should be noted that it is proposed to fix the requirement to constantly raise the flag of the Republic of Armenia on the buildings of pre-school, general education, higher education institutions, scientific, sports and cultural organizations, other legal entities established by the state and community, to rewrite the provisions on raising and lowering the flag.
Taking into account the need to acquire RA flags in case the law is adopted, a three-month period has been set for the law to enter into force.
